I’m Dr. Suzzane Horani
Little did I know that my exposure to orthodontics as a patient in my hometown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma would pique my interest and direct my future. I enjoy so many aspects of orthodontics as I continue to learn throughout the years. Prior to specializing in orthodontics, I practiced as a general dentist, only to reinforce the idea that the harmony of occlusion, healthy musculature, jaw position, and temporomandibular joint health lies in the expertise of comprehensive orthodontics. Orthodontics includes straightening teeth as well as setting an excellent foundation for successful lifelong oral health and overall general health. My goal as an American & Canadian Board-Certified Orthodontist is dedication to the delivery of excellent orthodontics that exceeds patients’ expectations and improves their overall quality of life.
Serendipity led me to meeting and learning from many orthodontic colleagues through mentorship and courses. This shaped my passion of artistically integrating foundational knowledge with the most up-to-date technology in orthodontics to deliver excellent care. I strive to adhere to the philosophy of delivering excellence in every aspect of our lives while also having fun.
I attended The University of Texas at Austin and completed my Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I moved to San Antonio for dental school at the University Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. I attained my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinctions in research and education. I wanted to gain experience as a general dentist prior to specialty training and completed a one-year advanced education general dentistry residency in Waco, Texas. After practicing general dentistry, I decided to pursue orthodontic training at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health University of Rochester Medical Center. I earned my Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics as chief resident of my class. During this time, I also completed a Master of Science in Dental Sciences with a focus on clinical and translational sciences and was awarded as the recipient of the Northeastern Society of Orthodontics Resident Research Program.

During my spare time, I enjoy many hobbies that trace back to my Oklahoma childhood days including golf, tennis, and…state fairs! If I am not at the office, you may find me socializing with family, friends, or my handsome nephew.
